The club was formed in the late 40's. Originally the ground was leased along River Street before going over the bridge into Tusky.. In 1970 ground was purchased on Deersville Ave but before they could break ground the state purchased it to widen Rt 800. After selling the land to the state, they purchased ground from Paul Mishler at Newport and the shows started sometime in 1972.

The goal of the
International Sporthorse Registry (ISR) and Oldenburg Registry NA
is to assist as an open Sporthorse Registry in the development of
breeding top performance horses through the establishment of an
effective and uniform standard of evaluation. The aim of the ISR
and Oldenburg N.A. is a noble, large-framed and correct horse
with dynamic, spacious and elastic movements; well suited for
Dressage, Jumping, Eventing, and Hunter classes due to its
temperament, character and rideability.

show, which we host each year. Each October, the Ohio Quarter Horse Association produces the All American Quarter Horse Congress, which has become the world's largest single breed horse show and includes a seven-acre trade show, lectures and demonstrations, and much more. The Congress Souvenir Program is the official program for the All American Quarter Horse Congress, and is available only at the Congress. 8,000 copies are printed and sold during the three-week show.
